Worst World Cup excuse yet

Johan Cruyff has blamed Holland’s World Cup exit on the country’s immigration minister for not allowing Ivory Coast-born Salomon Kalou to become a Dutch citizen.
Not being allowed to include players from another country, is quite some excuse…

so what is next…mass importation of players from other countries in order to boost your chances at winning… good gawd! ( i found it a tad ironic that, france, after all its troubles, have so many foreign born players on their national team…

Even if they had Kalou in the squad, van Basten might have wanted Kalou to sit alongside van Nistelroy on the bench!
