Italians and French dominate best eleven

Barcelona and Brazil’s Ronaldinho has been named the world’s top player for the second time in succession in FIFPro’s poll of over 40,000 players worldwide.

The best team has been voted as:

Defence: Cannavaro (Italy), Zambrotta (Italy), Thuram (France) and Terry (England)

Midfield: Zidane (France), Pirlo (Italy) and Kaka (Brazil)

Attack: Eto’o (Cameroon), Ronaldinho (Brazil) and Henry (France)

There’s an interesting break down of FIFPRo voting by country.
